Mini Jungle Gurkha kukri knife; an EDC type of kukri..

This mini sized kuki is either for household purpose or outdoor activities or even jungle warfare. It is also an optional Gurkha knife carried by soldiers as their no.2 kukri for training, exercise and as utility knife. The khukuri size is intentionally reduced so that carrying, using and working is easier, swifter and less tiring. Since the knife comes highly useful in jungle, trekking and outdoor activities that involves cutting and surviving the name 'Mini Jungle' adequately defines its worthy name.

mini jungle kukri knifeMini Jungle is a basic knife with very simply features. It is one of the most common knives in Nepal that is in very good demand as a trekking and outdoor utility knife. British Gurkhas who like to travel light or carry something easy yet equally effective also go for Mini Jungle Gurkha kukri for accomplishing their military training and exercises. Its an optional no.2 Gurkha knife that many Gurkha Soldiers prefer due to its light weight and handy size. Its handy size, comfortable weight, typical look give it more advantage over other versions. Mini Jungle also make very good gifts and is an outstanding souvenir to take back home from Nepal. Boys and men, both, would get fond of the knife in no time.

Mini Jungle with Dragon carved blade

The same Kukri is carved with a dragon on both sides of the blade. The mother blade is the same, and only Dragon is added to the mother kukri. This makes the 'Mini Jungle' more meaningful and a perfect handcrafted gift & classic souvenir from Nepal. The shape & size make it the best size gift to present and more of a decorative piece yet would make a good utility tool.

mini jungle dragon kukriWhat is Dragon & its Carving: Hand carvings are quite famous in Nepal, be it dragon engraving on kukri blades, on woods, or on stones. The carvings are the income source for many Nepalese especially people belonging to Newar Community. The dragon engraved is completely done with hand using very basic tools and it takes almost a week to complete the carving on one standard blade. It takes a lot of effort in carving and needs detailed work with precision.

(to buy this version please add 'Dragon itched blade' from add-ons section above)

feels like an old friend in your hand

I simply cannot fault this khukri. The size and weight are just perfect, it feels like it would be capable of jobs I would normally choose a heavier knife for, but is far more nimble in the hand. As with all the KHHI khukris I now own, there is a real sense of owning and handling something that is very different in these days of mass produced products, each one seems to have a bit of the soul of the Kami that fashioned it, each one is truly unique. Having now seen picture of one with the dragon etching on the blade, I think I might be purchasing another. Many thanks to all at KHHI for keeping this workmanship alive. Simon UK

gratitude and appreciation to craftsmans expertise

Hi KHHI Nepal,
Today I received my 8 inch khukuri, it arrived earlier than expected. It was well packaged and arrived intact. The khukuri is a work of art, it is superbly finished and the craftsmanship is of the highest quality.
The blade has a well sharpened edge and an excellent item.
I am delighted with my purchase from khhi and do intend to make further purchases in the future.
Please convey my gratitude to the craftsman, and my appreciation for his expertise.
Thanking you,
Yours sincerely,
John cunningham

My first khukuri knives

Gopal,

Can you believe that it's already been 3 weeks since I took possession of my 2 knives!!! I wanted to say thank you for the courteous, prompt and professional service. Although I was a first-time buyer, you prepared the knives in advance of my payment and had them oiled, sheathed and ready to package. I suspect I might become a repeat customer! The brief opportunity to glimpse your workshop was also a highlight of my second trip to Nepal. Figuring out the driving directions, no!

With gratitude,

Phillipa

Well Balanced

Very pleased with my purchase. Very well balanced and light in the hand. The size and weight feels like a Kbar or Bowie knife for carry, however the mini jungle seems to provide much more versatility for camp activities.
