Sacrificial (Religious) |
Ones that are used for sacrificial ceremony in festivals, thus the category’s definite name. Nepal’s custom and ritual still goes strong even in the 21st century and so does the animal beheading ritual. Khukuris under this category are especially used to achieve the very objective. The large blade goes through the neck, makes a clean clear sweep - and down goes the head, up goes the festival. CAUTION!! You have to be 18 yrs or above to witness the beheading ceremony. Sacrificial kukris also make good utility knives where heavy duty work of cutting is required. A historic, religious, utility and decorative icon.. |
