Kukri Classic Sheath
An exquisite sheath that has been with us since centuries..
Presenting you the heydays favorite; the classic khukuri sheath >>
KHHI Nepal has always proven its worth as the best kukri company in the world be it as a maker or as a responsible company. Its “Primitive Making” and the “Khukuri Gallery” are great initiations by the company to save the legacy of the legendary knife.
Similarly now with the launch of Special Nepali Classic Sheath made from home-made treated leather, it will not only boost the image of the sheath but also helps to conserve this unique sheath and its value which has been with us for centuries. The Classic Sheath was massively used in its heydays but now due to its complexity and with very limited manpower and resources people have almost stopped making it. Hence it was important for us to take the needful step to save the sheath and its reputation. We believe by offering this exquisite sheath it would assist in our objective to conserving it even though on a small scale. Such initiatives have always separated KHHI Nepal from the rest.
It’s a special kind of sheath that was generally used in the Early Modern to Modern eras and still being widely used today. Almost all the kukri knives were made from the sheath so we thought of giving continuity and keeping the legacy alive.
The maker makes the sheath from a locally treated leather that he painstakingly prepares at his place that requires a fixed process, excessive labor, and a high level of skill. This special homemade treated leather, the artistic work he does on the sheath, and the beauty it reflects make it an exquisite and valuable item than just a mere knife carrier. It makes the whole kukri set a complete artwork of excellent craftsmanship that is there to adore, praise, and to own. The sheath is very well done and durable.
NOTE: By default, the sheath comes in Black color. Other colors are also possible but stain issues may come. Also the two traditional accompanying knives (Karda & Chakmak) do not come with the sheath.
