Mini Raw Panawal (Useful); a useful knife that you can count on..

It is a mini version of the famous “Raw Panawal (Workhorse)” khukuri and thus the name. The great success story of the Raw Panawal Khukuri and its demand by customers to make in a shorter and more handier format led to the manufacturing of this 7 inch bladed very useful “Mini Raw Panawal”. It is a regular khukuri but very effective and efficient that is preferred by many as a perfect mini cutting tool. Like its origin counterpart, Mini Raw Panawal has a thick fat blade forged with a semi-fuller/chirra that is fixed with a plain full flat tang riveted handle (Panawal version) designed for power and durability. It is one superb mini heavy duty kukri that is a very useful survival tool and a domestic knife.

Mini Panawal

Just got this today along with my biltong plus. This is, as usual, a masterfully crafted blade. It feels good in the hand and is just a joy to behold. Its a tiny little work horse that is just perfect for what I need it for. A very welcome addition to my collection.

Raw power in small package

Hello and Namaste to Kami's and staff of KHHI once again. My 7th order, i have handled different sized khukuris and ended up in conclusion that these smaller ones suit my needs best and i wanted a raw one, corse shiny ones caught too much unwanted attention in woods. This 7' raw panaval is perfect for my use, i chose one whit micarta handle, ridges, lanyard hole and zimping, alongside whit kydex sheat. Also ordered a dbad war machine for my father, he was very pleased by quality (his first time handling hand made blade). Both came, as usual, in good protective layer of grease and quality of work is what i've used to expect from KHHI.

Only negative thing (and it's not a negative if you use your knives and know how to maintain them, as its part of the whole thing) in both blades was, that both were sharpened so that there were very noticable burr (whole edge on raw panawal, partialy on war machine) on edge on left side, so that it caught material and stripped leather out of strop. Nothing that couple strokes of ceramic rod or chamak could not handle, and it took couple minutes to straighten the edge on both knives, and my panawal has kept its blade razor sharp after that even after batoning through very dry birch and hacking through 3-4' pines and birch logs. Still waiting to hear how the other blade has kept it's edge.

Overall, i would still 100% recommend KHHI, you cant find better quality for the price. Many, Many thanks to whole staff of KHHI and especially to Mangaldhan Biswakawma (M) and Lok Bahadur Lama (2) for making these lovely blades. Namaste.

Raw mini panawal

I wanted to leave it a while before leaving a review so I could test it properly and I have to say I'm very impressed with the craftsmanship, the artisan who made it should be very proud of his work. It looks and feels amazing whilst being very practical to use for bushcraft. My only wish is that it had been shaper when it arrived but that's nothing I couldn't fix myself. All in all I recommend this if you want something practical for outdoor use and isn't to big and cumbersome. Will definitely be buying from here again.

Excellent - second order

I ordered three knives (see previous review) for my daughter and a friend and finally gave in and ordered one for myself. Shipping time was very quick - within two weeks and the knife arrived 4 days early. The knife is perfect! The size and balance of this model are both excellent. While small, it still has plenty of authority for trimming small branches etc. etc. It is the perfect size and design for a heavy duty survival knife at a fraction the cost. Having got four knives in two separate orders and seen the consistent quality I confidently recommend these excellent knife makers.
