Mukti Bowie Knife; weapon for your Redemption (be FREE set FREE)

One of the most fascinating knives produced by KHHI. The sheer look and mass of the knife is good enough to send a chilling message to the opponent. Mukti is an awesome, powerful cum deadly weapon that would give a devastating outcome in its single blow. Therefore it must always be treated with extreme care and respect. “Mukti” is the Nepalese translation of “Redemption”, means to be FREE and set FREE.

The Designer >>

The creator of Mukti is actually Mr. Frank Gonzalez of KniveByHand (KBH) who is KHHI’s professional partner and a very good friend. Mr. Gonzalez, an ex-US Army veteran is an expert in knives and guns. He has a Midas touch when it comes to knives. Meaning – his skill, experience, and knowledge gives life to even a dying knife. KHHI would like to deeply thank Mr. Frank Gonzalez for allowing us to sell one of his great creations.

Mukti as made by KHHI; powerful cum deadly bowie knife

Mukti knife

Blade >> Mukti has 13.5 inch mean-looking power-packed blade that has the ability to crush a target in one single blow. The weight is concentrated more in the upper portion of the blade to maximize force and thus impact when swinging. It is also a stabbing knife as it has a straight shape and is forged very pointed towards the tip area for that very purpose. A layer/fuller (chirra) forged in the center of the blade works as in I-Beam to withstand the impact or pressure felt by the blade in hard blows when using.

Handle >> A built-in Guard from the shape itself is made to protect the user’s hand from slipping towards the sharp blade. It has a rosewood handle built-in “Panawal” version. The full flat tang handle has multiple rivets cleverly done to support the heavy blade. An extended tang with a lanyard hole is also forged (as seen in the photo) to facilitate a wrist cord.

Sheath >> Mukti comes with an ordinary black buffalo hide sheath for carriage. Lanyard loop tip (for thigh leather string) and a strap button in the frog (for easier carriage) are fitted to aid easy movement while carrying the knife in the waist.

  • Blade size: 13.5 inches
  • Handle Size: 6.5 inches approx. (incl the extended tang)
  • Blade Thickness: 8 mm approx.
  • Origin: KHHI, Kathmandu, Nepal

Materials/features: Buffalo hide scabbard with lanyard loop and strap button, FFT multiple riveted WOOD handle with built-in Guard and extended Tang with lanyard hole, Full unpolished finishing

The Mukti -An Amazing Blade!!

This was my first time purchasing a blade from the Khukuri House and I enjoyed the entire process. From the picture of my knife prior to it being shipped, to all of the emails providing information on my package, to the actual reception of this impressive blade. I am quite pleased with the craftsmanship of this piece. I own another Mukti knife I purchased from Everest Forge....the Khukuri House Mukti is easily the better knife. My next purchase will be the Donnie B All Day Big Jim. Great Job Khukuri House and Thank you!!!

Awe Inspiring

The pics of this thing don't do it justice. It's massive, but doesn't feel super heavy in the hand. A must have if you're into larger fixed blades.

absolutely thrilled

I wold like to take a moment to tell you how very happy I am with the blades I have purchased from your company. From the moment I opened the boxes I have been absolutely thrilled with the first-class quality and design of these blades. I couldn't be happier with my purchase and the service I have received.

My latest purchase was the Mukti. This exceptional blade now has a place in my most prized possessions. I am interested in ordering another like it, but I was wondering if I could ask for a few modifications to the design. I am greatly pleased with the size of this blade and will find it quite useful. For my purposes though I wonder if I could order one with the following changes.

First, I notice that from the spine of the blade to the middle of the blade it is slightly concave. Steel has been removed here. As it reaches an apex at the center it is again dished out a bit and another concave area is found leading to the blade edge. I assume this is done in order to save weight. It is a fine idea and design. For my purposes I wold prefer the area from the spine to the center of the blade to be flat, not concave. This would add weight to the blade. This added weight is something I would prefer.

Secondly, on my Bowie knife I have a large piece of steel affixed to the pommel. I would very much like to see a similar pommel on the Mukti. These changes would make the Mukti a more effective chopper. The added weight would be quite welcome for me. I am fine with the concave area from the middle of the blade to the knife edge, but would eliminate the concave area from the spine to the middle of the blade. Further, unlike the Bowie knife the Mukti has a sharp 90 degree angle at the spine, This sharp angle would lend itself quite well to striking a ferro rod for fire starting purposes. I would like to see this sharp edge at the spine preserved.

Please let me know if these changes are something you can provide for me. Thank you again for creating an exceptional product.
