Bringing old school combat to today’s battlefields. A combat blade designed for battlefield perfection...

Are you geared enough for the next war?? in war there is NO second chance ..

Designed by YouTube knife reviewer Donnie B All Day, we see a tribute blade to surpass it’s predecessor. The KA-BAR knife was popularized in WWII and through the years, the design has seen very few changes. The design while still beloved, is in need of serious updates. With poor weight distribution, a thin tang and round grip, it is time for a change. This is the next generation combat knife.

war-machine-knife-handleWhat’s so special about the blade?
Forged in 52100 steel, this blade stretches a full 8” in length with 5” of a true full tang. Using steel pins, the scales fit seamlessly to the grip. A minimalist hand double guard will keep from snagging on gear while still protecting the hand from the edge. An oversized fuller helps properly distribute weight and the clip point is fully sharpened making it battle worthy from every angle.

Why use wood scales?
Choosing wood over leather was a no brainer. The contouring offers an honest grip for any hand size. Carving grooves into the scales, besides offering more grip, also provides channels to help expel sweat keeping your hand tightly gripped to your lifeline when the going gets tough.

FEATURES >>

  • 8” matt 52100 steel blade with clip point in classic profile
  • Sharpened swedge for upper thrust and destruction
  • 5.5” Full Tang Strong and Comfy wooden handle
  • Blackened Double guard for protection and look
  • Deep fuller, Flat grind, Duad edges; ALL for strength, balance and performance
  • Basic brown leather sheath for easy and quick operation and carriage

A battle-hardened classic knife for today...

It's hard to give it a star rating

It's hard to give it a star rating. I appreciate DBAD's efforts here, and of course I appreciate the work that thekhukurihouse.com puts into making each of these weapons. It's a good and heavy blade, and it takes an edge well. I was carrying it one time, at arm's length, nicely protected in its sheath (or so I thought), and I accidentally dropped it. Totally my bad, of course (not DBAD). But it fell only from slightly above my knee to the ground. That's really not far. You could walk that distance in no time, and drive it in even less. And that's the ONLY time this knife has ever been subject to anything but white glove treatment. And guess what, a big chunk of rosewood chipped out of the handle. Leaving a big ugly sharp-edged hole. I have to say I was surprised. Clearly I need to treat this thing like a Ming vase or something, rather than like a weapon. As I say, I appreciate the huge amount of amazing work and skill that thekhukurihouse.com puts into making each of these weapons. But that was a disappointing experience. Maybe I'll just order another one, and be more careful with it. But I'm surprised I have to do that. Let's say two stars, since this is clearly a very delicate museum piece, and needs to be treated that way. It's not a working weapon. I love it, but I don't love the hole I now have in the handle.

I ordered mine with brown wood micarta and it is excellent everything about this knife is amazing. It goes with me everywhere now in a bag or car or on my hip I don't leave home without. Better than I expected!

I have never bought from this company before, but I’m very satisfied with my purchase the war machine is a very good knife not only just for combat but good for wood processing it’s not too heavy either which is what I like about it. It’s a good thing that I ordered a Kydex sheath to go with it cuz hopefully I plan on taking this in the water one day somewhere in the woods to have fun with it, the craftsmanship is very high-quality well worth the money I can’t believe how thick it is so it’s pretty sturdy and durable which is what I like!

Well done!

I received my greatly anticipated War Machine knife today. I haven't had a chance yet to put it to use, but I do have some thoughts about this knife that I would like to share. First of all, regarding the the craftsmanship...all I can say is BRAVO!!! This is one seriously well made blade. I've closely inspected this knife and I cannot find a single visible flaw. The craftsman that made my knife is Krishna Magar and I am blown away by his skill as a bladesmith. I'm very impressed and pleased with the quality of this blade. Fit and finish are on point. The sheath is a very plain and simple sheath, but it is very well made from very high quality leather. As compared to my Kabar, the following are my observations: First off, the steel. To me, the 52100 steel is a vast improvement over the cro-van steel used in the kabar. 52100 sharpens easier and holds an edge better than the cro van in my opinion. Also a forged blade will always be superior to a stamped blade in my opinion. The thickness of the war machine blade is impressive and is very much an improvement over the kabar. The blade on my war machine came fairly sharp, but I would have preferred it to be sharper. Not a big deal as I can easily sharpen it. The sharpened swedge is kind of a cool touch, but honestly, I could take it or leave it. An unsharpened swedge would have been fine with me as well. If it dulls, I will likely not sharpen it back. The over all monster size of the blade is impressive, but my preference would have been for it to be closer to original kabar specs. A 7 inch blade is plenty and making the blade wider really doesn't improve its functionality. A kabar sized forged blade would have been perfect in my opinion. Now, on to the handle. The full flat tang is a HUGE improvement over the kabars rat tail tang. It instantly makes the war machine far stronger and superior. In addition, the flatsided wooden handle with finger grips is far and away better than the kabar round handle. You can't really appreciate this unless you've actually done cutting tests with a kabar. A round handle tends to twist in your hand when it makes contact with whatever you are cutting. It also makes it difficult to keep track of the orientation of the blade while changing cutting directions. The flat sided handle is so much better when indexing the blade during cutting actions. Now that being said, I would prefer the war machine to have a bit beefier of a handle. I like the thickness of the kabar handle, and it would be awesome if the war machine handle was just a bit more robust. But this is my preference as I have large hands. Overall, I'm extremely pleased with this knife. It is so incredibly well made and crafted. I would say that the over all design of the knife is good. But if I were to have a custom "kabar style" knife made, I would have it made just like this one except I would have the blade made closer to the size of the kabar knife and I would have the handle beefed up just slightly. But again, over all, I'm very pleased and I'm glad I purchased this knife. Great job KHHI and Krishna Magar for crafting a truly top notch blade.
