Around 1836 in the American state of Arkansas, it’s said that knife maker James Black, first forged this now historically famous blade. Throughout the 1800’s, the knife wold commonly boast a blade between 12 and 20 inches long. It was a slashing weapon used not only for cutting meat and produce but also for hunting the always dangerous wild boar.
What’s so special about the blade?
17 inches of quarter inch thick 52100 steel is beautifully tapered with dual sharpened edges. The highly polished blade offers little resistance as it penetrates it’s target and at the same time, offers a very easy clean up.
What is the grip?
The 6 inches of full tang, sits perfectly behind it’s V shaped guard and flares out from guard to pommel. Topped with KHHI’s own shop made micarta scales, the user is guaranteed a comfortable and easy to use, secure grip in any and all conditions.
